Coorg is well-known for coffee, but the town has an expansive tea estate owned by the Tatas. However, since it wasnt tea season yet, the highlight of the stunningly green estate are the sprouts of pepper wines that appear out of nowhere. A nice place to spend a good time strolling!

Fields of Gold
Bhutta’s or Maize (or corn as it is also known), tastes best when roast on a beds of coals. While the one with yellow kernels is sweet, while I prefer the tasteless white pearly ones better. And having a well roasted corn with lemon, salt and spice seasoning while strolling on the beach feels like…
Teachings of the Buddha
Time is fleeting …Act Today Do not pursue the past. Do not lose yourself in the future. The past no longer is. The future has not yet come. Looking deeply at life as it is. In the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom. We must be diligent today. To wait…
Learning with Gratitude
“Develop the mind of equilibrium. You will always be getting praise and blame, but do not let either affect the poise of the mind: follow the calmness, the absence of pride.” Sutta Nipata
Cultural Harmony

Well, it’s not really a library, per se, more like a store where you can get original and fake books that are more of hand-me-downs at very reasonable prices….
A Bond That Ties
The one thing that I find most interesting across cultures is how we celebrate relationships. Back home in India, every celebration is linked to the solar or lunar calendar and usually follows traditional rituals and norms on how to observe them. And the holy month of Shravan brings with it the start of the Hindu festive season, starting…
Veer Shivaji!
As India gears up for yet another independence day, the air is thick with patriotism. One warrior who demands unwavering respect especially in Maharashtra is Shivaji Raje Bhosle. Fighting the Mughal forces as the leader of the Maratha clan, the young Kshatriya warrior lived a short life that spanned to 50 years but like that…
