Spark of Life

I love Diwali, which you know by now if you’ve stuck around here for a while. I love the festivities, the clay lamps, lights, and the delicacies of the season. I have never been a big fan of noisy crackers, and growing up rockets that exploded into a beautiful spectacle of light were beyond reason or necessity.

“What was important wasn’t the fireworks, it was that we were together this evening, together in this place, looking up into the sky at the same time.”

Banana Yoshimoto

I continue to hold on to my love for sparklers. They do throw out a lot of smoke, but they are very pretty, and quite effectively less polluting than most other crackers that are burst during Diwali. And they are quite easy to capture on film. Let the spark of light glow with all it’s might. Happy festive season to everyone. May Christmas bring us love and life that we can look forward to!
