Pop Goes the Weasel

I have a strange affection to merry-go-rounds and carousel and giant wheels. To me, they signify a circle of life: what goes around comes around. This is a recurring theme in many of the books I adore (all fiction of course). Let me share a few that come to my mind seeing these crafts that I put together.

  1. Tell Me Your Dreams (1998) Sidney Sheldon: This thriller is one of the only books from Sheldon that caught my fancy. The tight narrative that dwells on Dissociative identity disorder (DID), multiple personality disorder (MPD) or colloquially Split Personality is the only one I’ve read in the genre, and recommend it highly!
  2. Something Wicked This Way Comes (1962) Ray Bradbury: This dark sci-fi thriller is one of the best I’ve read in the genre. Combining elements of horror and fantasy, the book talks about two teens and their nightmarish experience with a traveling carnival that comes to their. And the carousel is one of the main characters in the book.

Have you read any such books that fit the theme? Do share your recommendations in the comments, I am 5 books short of my annual read goals, so you’d be of great help.
