My mother and I have an eye for the quirkiest of things. So when she went on her trip around Europe, there was no way she couldn’t bring me a replica of the famous Peeing Boy (Manneken-Pis). This little boy is the “emblem of the rebellious spirit of the City of Brussels”, and he suits up for special occasions too. This shot, however is an emblem of our conservative spirit. It is also my way to support the cleanliness drive of modern India, where the government is trying to promote the concept of personal hygiene and is on a spree to build toilets in rural areas, where public defecation is rampant. Hoping that India shines and stops stinking soon!
