The Feast is Laid

Love it or hate it, plum cakes have been an integral part of our Christmas celebrations. My brother’s school would usually give each student a loaf each, which would make me slightly jealous. Our neighbor would diligently hand a few slices to us after she came back from Midnight mass. No gifts get exchanged, our gifting season ends with Diwali. I don’t get to savor plum cakes anymore, not because I have no access, but because I cant finish the whole thing myself anymore. What lovely memories!
