Tongue In Cheek

Kerala is wonderful in terms of tourism. If you are a sea food lover, it’s heavenly. Fort Kochi is the only nugget in this vast beautiful state that I have been to. It’s tourist friendly to the T, but sometimes, when you try too hard to be tourist friendly, you loose track of common sense. “God’s own country” (extra point for the correct punctuation :-P) is the tag line for the state tourism department. But putting that just over the marker for the Dutch Cemetery is a bit too hilarious. When you visit the cemetery though, you can’t go inside; its closed for visitors. The place, however, is strewn with liquor bottles when you take a peek inside from its shallow walls. Guess it’s hard to resist consuming spirits with the Spirits!
