Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall;
All the king’s horses and all the king’s men
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.
The old children’s poem apparently has several myths attached to it. One is that there was a canon name Humpty Dumpty, which was used to capture Colchester during the 1648 English civil war. You can read more about the myths here and here.
