Weekly Photo Challenge: Waiting 2

There is a popular Darga in Mumbai called Haji Ali where people of all beliefs come to offer prayers and seek blessings. One popular custom is tying a ‘mannat ka dhaga’. It’s a red-colored thread that you tie at the gate and make a wish to god. Once your wishes are fulfilled, you need to return to the darga and untie any one thread. Since there are so many people who need god to listen to, there is a wishing tree. I am not the wishing or demanding kinds, but as a mark of respect I tie a thread too. When something good comes my way, I just go and untie a thread to thank Him for the unasked wishes. And now I wait for his next call so I can go pay a visit. A photo of the darga will follow soon, I hope!
