The Maharanas of Mewar belong to the Suryavanshi or the Solar Dynasty. Along with the Lunar Dynasty, this dynasty is one of the prominent in Hinduism. This makes them a part of the Kshatriya clan or the warriors who worship the Sun as their primary deity.  Their logo always shows the tribal as equal since they were a source of constant help in war.
