Traitors Beware!

Kadelot Tok (A point from where people are pushed over) can be found at almost all forts in Maharashtra. The one above is from the Pratapgad Fort. The only punishment for treason in those times was shoving the traitor alive in a sack and throwing him off the cliff. Since most forts are situated on mountain tops and are well camouflaged, recovering any bodies is an improbable task. However, locals will tell you that there were very few instances of treachery so the points were rarely ever used. Moreover, this point is so picked because it is impossible to scale the mountain from that particular side, so no attacks are anticipated.
