I never really understood the concept of changing one’s destiny. Your destiny is built on a cause and consequence equation. When you are in any situation, you make a choice of handling it in a particular way, and accordingly a chain reaction sets in. You are in complete control of all your choices, even when you think you have no options. As a result of this chain of events that you willfully initiate, you pave the way for not just your present but for the future course of events as well. Life flows like a river and each decision you take, changes the course, intensity and direction of that river.

There is this song “What If”, which is crooned by Kate Winslet. On carefully listening through the song, you will realize that the song is not all about heart break, or making a difficult decision. It also talks about how you need to stand by the choices you made intentionally.  While you can think all about how the situation could have been handled differently, you can’t always say for sure how the story could have ended otherwise.
