Love is for equals

It is often said that you can’t make anyone fall in love with you unless they want to, but the reverse is true as well. When I say love is for equals, it does not mean equal in terms of status quo or financial wealth, but being on the same emotional plane.

Love is the one positive feeling that pulls people out of depression or a low spell. Most people fall in love when they are at their lowest emotional ebb; it is at this time that they need comfort, emotional security and uplifting. And they fall out of it under two circumstances: either if they don’t get what they are looking for or they move on higher emotional grounds than their partner.

Why some people suffer heart-breaks is because they are either content with their love life or are stuck with the emotion, and wish to try harder to stay in love.

If you are at the receiving end of the heart-break, it takes a lot of maturity and courage to know and realize that the season is through, and yet you part ways with nothing but gratitude for the memories, and good wishes for the one you truly loved.

Nat King Cole expresses this maturity with perfect grace and sends across an important message: irrespective of how you feel part with a smile and wish for nothing but the best for the one you still love, even if they don’t reciprocate the feeling…after all love is not just give and take, it is sometimes just to give and take nothing but a life time of good memories!

I Wish You Love
Goodbye, no use leading with our chins
Never lovers, ever friends
This is where our story endsGoodbye, let our hearts call it a day
But before you walk away
I sincerely want to say

I wish you bluebirds in the spring
To give your heart a song to sing
And then a kiss, but more than this
I wish you love

And in July a lemonade
To cool you in some leafy glade
I wish you health
But more than wealth
I wish you love

My breaking heart and I agree
That you and I could never be
So with my best
My very best
I set you free

I wish you shelter from the storm
A cozy fire to keep you warm
But most of all when snowflakes fall
I wish you love…

I actually don’t know one feels when in love, but i do feel attached and detached to things and people. The way you have described about wanting emotional security and uplifting is awesome; everybody would like that and every person requires some kind of support.

I also agree about the heart-break parts!!! One undeniably requires alot of courage and determination to handle that situation.

    Well that is seriously jotted…
