Vikas Soudha is a replica of the main Vidhan Soudha building (I like this one better visually though), built by the Karnataka government. Inaugurated in February 2005, it is intended to be an annexe building, housing some of the ministries and legislative offices.

Governments Work?
The front of the Vidhan Soudha building reads “Government’s Work is God’s Work,” (sarkarada kelasa devara kelasa in Kannada). The cost of construction in the 1950s time was just 17.5 million rupees, but now, the annual maintenance alone costs about 20 million rupees. The building is illuminated on Sundays and public holidays.
