When the cars whiz past you, everything comes to a stand still on the traffic signal. But when the little red guy appears, its time for the pedestrians to stand at the curb and see the cars zoom past. Alas, the challenge for the week is red, not green, or I would’ve had a crisper image!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Red
I love a good read, and after using up all my other red inspirations, I decided to look for some ‘red’ literature. I am no communist, but one thing I did notice was most of the red, marron pink colored books, all dealt with either love, or crime. I guess we all thrive on extremism!
Liven up the Decor
Another interesting was to decorate a place specializing in Italian cuisine. I guess that’s how you tie up a the ingredients and ambiance to make it snazzy!
Lighten Up the Room
It’s fascinating to see what a bit of light can do to any room. On one of our lazy Sunday cravings, we ended up having dinner at a Pizza Hut joint. These lights were hung right above our seating area. It beautifully highlighted the decor of an otherwise dimly lit room.
Seasons in the Sun
What good is a life that hasn’t been seasoned with flavors? Some experiences are too spicy, some too salty, some too sweet, and others just right. There is no such thing as the perfect recipe to a perfect life, but we can try all spices to figure out what suits our taste buds best!
Weekly Photo Challenge: Wildlife 3
Our first trip as man and wife was quite successful for many reasons. And one of them was the natural bliss that I hadn’t experienced as city dweller. I captured these horses grazing at a luscious green hill-side en-route the snow-clad Rohtang pass, which opens for public only for a short duration between June to October every year.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Wildlife 2
We got to see this beautiful Himalayan Bear at the Nainital Zoo, which is one of the high altitude zoo’s in the world. What I like best about the zoo is how they have clubbed CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) with conservation of wild life: Major corporate houses take responsibility to take care of the food and health of the animals. Cruelty with a heart?…
Starting Off On A Good Note
While we were quite used to certain kind of filler foods till our actual meals appeared, we tried something different for my mother birthday bash this year. Called as papad rolls, these are raw poppadums stuffed with veggetable filling which is then I think shallow fried. It is served with a salad with a spicy dressing….
Vrooom…
One more nugget from my key-chain collection, I instantly fell in love with this one. One of the most intricately carved artifacts that I own, it is brilliantly detailed and can make for an amazing collectible!
Going Retro
When we were growing up, the slate was a simple and effective way to teach and learn. It was our first lesson in going green. Parked in the corner was a old school scooter. A lovely reminder of a time well spent had to be a monochrome shot. What do you think?
