Today is a special day, my lovely mother turns a year older. She’s already wise in many areas, so its going to get tough to handle her if she adds on to that wisdom. Like for most people, Ma is a role model, not just for me, but the scores of students who studied under her hawk eyes through her 30+ year career as a professor in economics. Anywhere we go, we are sure to bump into someone who knows her, and thanks her for how she changed their lives; which at times is like epiphany for her. I believe, it’s only up to us to act the way that is in best interests of everyone. Not all our actions are acceptable, despite the best of our intentions. With time we accrue good or bad, and that’s how karma works. So as I start the celebration, here’s wishing very happy 67th to my Ma!
