Childhood Woes

As children, we would often “perform” for guests visiting home. Be it a nursery rhyme, or telling them about which school we went to and which was our favorite subject, I would often cringe when they came home. But being the daughter of the house, I was left with the duty of offering water and refreshments to anyone who walked into my home and my brother would get away with, “he’s the silent kinds” description. But kids these days are different. They learn to play instruments and become fitter way ahead of us. But I guess the annoyance of performing for random people still remains the same!
