The 12th of January, the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, is observed as National Youth Day in India. I studied in a college named after the noble thinker, and so the event calls for a large-scale celebration. The Vivekananda Rock Memorial situated at Kanyakumari, is where he meditated until his last breath is one of the most peaceful tourist spots in the entire country.
