Weekly Photo Challenge: Comfort

This is a door handle at the St. Nicholas Church, at the Old Town Square, at Prague, Czech Republic. This past month has been a bit rough on me and has managed to make me more resolute as a human being. It made me re-evaluate my choices and understand people’s perceptions and insinuations. The post today is symbolic of closures. The greatest comfort in my mind comes when i find closure to things that bother me a lot, and knowing that I learned my lessons well and have become a wiser and more prudent person. How about you? Where do you  seek/find your comfort?

I am always happy to find OLD things too – IMAGINE: how many hands touched this?

I also find comfort in closures. The experience of deliberating over decisions or incomplete actions can be extremely burdensome. The finality of endings is liberating and thereby comforting. I appreciate your unique and creative interpretation.

Close the door. Firmly. Walk on, and when you find another door, push. If it opens easily, walk in, the wrong door will remain shut.

    Hope you find it soon.

The photo is excellent, and it sounds like this month has been one of learning lessons and making resolutions. Glad you are getting peace of mind. I know that when I go through periods of pondering that end in some sort of resolution, the peace that comes really lightens my stress.

Closure is certainly comforting, especially for those who have lost a loved one. In less tragic circumstances we have to make that closure ourselves by deciding when to walk away. Sorry to hear you’ve had a bad month. Hope you are able to find peace now and build on the resolve to move forwards. Good choice for this challenge.
