I love pomegranates, and considering that I am struggling with an acute stomach infection it is helping me quite well too. While peeling it fun, you can never have enough of it to eat anyway. Once the seeds have dried up, they are used as a seasoning herb, called in India as anar daana (meaning pomegranate seeds). While the seeds are great for digestion, the fresh fruit helps you when you suffer with dysentery or lose motions. Also it is said to be the sweetest fruit and a delicacy of sorts in certain regions of Afghanistan and Pakistan. (Sistani anar is said to be the sweetest of them all!)
