A Delightful Deer

The Swamp Deer or Barasingha is a deer species which is native to India and Nepal.  Barasingha  is Hindi for 12 horned, a name earned by a mature deer who has branched horns. We came across this peaceful creature grazing quietly at the high-altitude Nainital Zoo. What a magnificent sight to witness!
