830 Posts: That’s a Wrap, 2018!

When I started this space in 2011, and in effect the post a day challenge, it took me 18 days to get stuff out from my drafts. I ended the year with 350 posts, and given the passage of time, this milestone of 800+ should’ve been crossed years ago. But posting everyday, with a picture that you are confident to show the world, is very daunting: especially when there is so much negativity inside your own head and the world around you. So I took the easy route and posted once a week, and I saw myself slacking. Life in the real world was spiraling out of control and having a blinkered mind wasn’t helping me too much. Over the years, I realized that asking for help is the only way I will get it and boy, helped poured in from every quarter. Along the way, I lost a few loved ones, weeded out those that became toxic but I have few regrets. Everyone I loved deeply, I made sure they knew how I felt in good time.

But in 2018, I really wanted to bring my virtual haven back to life. But it was an uphill climb for a lazy me. However, with an objective in mind and a goal post in site, I knew what I needed to start doing. Get my act together and explore, click and write more (ok, I may not have written as much, but my quote register is brimming!)

My blog may not be as popular as it was in 2011; the WordPress community gave up on its DailyPost endeavor by May, which also meant there were fewer ideas to post and lesser avenues to connect to people: the way I befriended several bloggers over the years was lost.

Everything said and done, on the last day of 2018, I want to recap the one passion/hobby I added to my arsenal. I met and befriended so many artists along the way, and it was a pleasant surprise. I prefer to think of myself as someone who’s inquisitive, assertive and expressive; not exactly an artist. I started on the journey as a collector, photographer/presenter and interpreter. I eventually built what I couldn’t afford/find, and over 2018, I believe I have become quite decent with my handy work. So before I go, I’d like to thank you for keeping up with me and patting my back on Facebook, Instagram and on WordPress. Pictures in the video are chronological arranged so it gives you and more importantly me an idea of what I was and what I’ve become in a year. The destination may be far, but the path is right!

Before you go, here’s wishing you had a experiential 2018. I leave you with a prayer that in 2019 you further become the person that you yearn to be.

Signing off in the great late Stan Lee way…
EXCELSIOR!!
Love & Light,
Kam.
