The Paradox called Life

The two most essential things that most people consider to be a wholesome life is to have expectations and then fulfilment of these expectations, that too quickly, using the least possible efforts.

Everybody wants another person to care about their feelings, but they are usually too caught up with themselves. That basically leaves no room to expect from others what you don’t do yourself. While you are busy for another to accommodate your feelings, you don’t keep yourself open enough to accommodate another’s. What this does is creates a trap of selfishness mixed with a general sense of loneliness, without actually doing too much in either direction.

Empathy, sympathy and selflessness all at once thus becomes a very rare personality that you find only with saints, considering that the rising stress levels make it that much easy to be selfish. But what is most annoying is how blatantly dishonest people are with their own selves.

Our wants and desires are so deeply rooted that we often fantasize what we ought to be and eventually share this distorted version with others. We forget that it’s a lot easier to judge and decide from a neutral stand point, making these fancies appear as lies. One essential thing is to remember, is that these  flights of imagination are a liberty we give our ego. When we let them cross over from our dreams into reality, we are perceived as sticklers.

After all the line between being pious and a purist is a might thin one. It doesn’t take long to make a scapegoat out of a saint. Being yourself is the most obvious thing to do, but too much of anything is not really good.

Be Yourself (Audioslave)
Someone falls to pieces
Sleeping all alone
Someone kills the pain
Spinning in the silence
She finally drifts away

Someone gets excited
In the chapel yard
Catches a bouquet
Another lays a dozen
White roses on the grave

And be yourself is all that you can do
To be yourself is all that you can do

Someone finds salvation in everyone
Another only pain
Someone tries to hide himself, down inside himself he prays
Someone swears his true love, until the end of time
Another runs away, separate or united, healthy or insane

And be yourself is all that you can do
To be yourself is all that you can do

Even when you’ve paid enough
Been pulled apart or been held up
Every single memory of the good or bad
Are faces of love
Don’t lose any sleep tonight
I’m sure everything will end up alright
Gimme with love

But to be yourself is all that you can do
To be yourself is all that you can do

beautiful… !! it is difficult to actually view things at a neutral stand point, but it is not impossible. It requires a hell lot of practice and patience. It is something very rarely found in people nowadays… but with such people at times others can face problems becoz they tend to become neutral with almost everything in life.. but thn it actually keeps problems away… and hard situations usually go a bit smooth for them.. why i knw all this becoz i know someone with such an attitude… its jus amazing the way such ppl handle tough situations…!
